Time is one of those things we can’t collect or save. Everyone is given 24 hours a day and for most of us that doesn’t seem to be enough. With that in mind, sitting still and doing nothing for half an hour every day seems absurd and a waste of precious time.

Why would anyone meditate?

Well, lets look at the benefits of regular meditation:

- regular meditation sharpens the mind so you will get more done in less time

- Science shows that there is a connection between body and mind. When your brain reaches the Alpha, Theta or Delta state it lowers the production of the stresshormone Cortisol.

- Lower bloodpressure and Cholesterol

- better functioning immune system

- Most problems occur when we think in the Beta state. But we can’t solve these problems in this state. We have to go deeper into Alpha, Theta or Delta state. Meditation is the way to do this.

- Meditation eliminates negative thoughts so we can find answers to our questions, problems and challenges.

- Meditation creates neural connection between the left and the right hemisphere of our brain. This will help you get rid of fear, anxiety and phobias.

- reduction of chronic pain

- increased longevity

- a sense of wellbeing and harmony with everything and everyone.

These are only some of the benefits, but they should be convincing enough for many people to start meditating. But still most people won’t exchange their time for all of these benefits. Those who do see the benefits will soon realise that they are getting more done in less time, even more than before they were meditating.

Meditate like the Zen masters.

Zen masters meditate for 6 to 8 hours a day over a period of 20 years to reach the ultimate Zen state.
Most of you probably can’t spare that much time, neither can I. But luckily there are other methods that can give you the same results in only half an hour instead of 6 to 8 hours a day.

Binaural Beats.

It has been scientificaly proven that Binaural Beats can effect your brain. They can be used for many purposes. Meditation is one of them. Listening to these Beats it will be much easier for you to get in an Alpha, Theta or Delta state. And you will get there much faster too. If you take half an hour a day to listen and meditate to these beats you’ll start to notice differences in the way you think, how you feel, your focus and your stresslevels. Not only you will notice, the people around you will too!

Meditation is definately not a waste of time. Time spend on meditation will give you even more time and will affect your life on so many levels, you’ll be ‘hooked’ for life!
