July 12, 2009 Gepost in Success

Meditation is a very powerful tool to relax your body and mind. It allows the natural self-healing processes to work optimally. It is the perfect method to get rid of stress and negative thoughts!

There are many different meditation techniques. Below you’ll find one that is very easy to do. It’s a no-brainer :-) ! Perfect for those who are new to meditation.

Breath meditation

Focusing on your breath is one of the easiest ways to meditate.

- Sit comfortably in a chair and wear comfortable clothing. Make sure you are in a quiet place and that no one will disturb you.

- Take your attention away from your thoughts and focus on your breathing without changing the intensity or rythm of your breath. Feel the air going in and out of your longs. Feel your bodymovement as you breath.

- After a couple of minutes you’ll start to notice that your breating will get slower and deeper. If not, don’t worry, stay focused on your breating. If you are new to meditation it might take some practising to get fully relaxed.

- For most of us staying focused on our breath is not as easy as it may seem. Your attention may wander of because of sounds or thoughts coming into your head. If this happens, don’t worry about it. Just go back to focusing on your breath. The more you practise this meditation, the less you’ll get distracted.

- You can do this meditation as long as you want. But if you are new to meditation it might be better to start with a couple of minutes and grow slowly towards longer sessions.

After a couple of days you’ll notice changes that will last all day. You’re calmer, even in stressful situations. You’re able to focus longer on your work and you feel a sensation of relaxation all day long.

And there’s nothing better for your health than that!!
