Positive Thinking, does it really work

Some people will tell you ‘positive thinking’ doesn’t work, and they are right. Others will tell you it can change your life, and they are right too! You are probably wondering how this is possible, so let’s take a look at how it really works.

The Law of Attraction, you have probably heard of it many times. Ever since the movie ‘The Secret’ everyone seems to be using this term. But what is it and how does it work? The Law of Attraction is an universal law that states that like attracts like. Which means that you have attracted everything around you.

What are thoughts made of?

When we put anyone or anything under a microscope we can see dat everyone and everything is made up out of the same thing: energy. But not all energy is equal. Energy vibrates at a certain frequency. Solid objects, like a table for instance vibrate at a very low frequency. That is why we can see and touch it. Thoughts on the other hand vibrate at such a high frequency that we can’t see or touch them. But negative thoughts vibrate at a lower frequency than positive thoughts. According to the Law of Attraction like attracts like. So, energies that vibrate at the same frequency attract eachother.

This means that when we think positive, we attract positive things and when we think negative we attract negative things.

I think positive all day long but it doesn’t seem to do anything for me!

The problem with most positive thoughts is that they originate from the conscious part of our mind. But there’s also the subconscious that thinks thoughts all day long and these thoughts might be the exact opposite of the positive thoughts in the conscious part of your brain.

How do you know wether thoughts originated from your conscious or subconscious mind?

You can tell from your emotions. Our feelings or emotions react to our subconscious. Ignoring your negative emotions and thinking positive just won’t work. Thinking positive and saying your affirmations without feeling them won’t work either. There has to be energy to support your positive emotions! Feel what you think and say!

The final step …

Positive thoughts alone have no effect on your life. Positive thoughts supported by positive emotions are much stronger.
Does this mean that when you lay on your couch thinking and feeling you are going to win the lottery, you will actually win it? No, believe me. I have tried that and I’m still not a millionaire. The Universe doesn’t just give you what you want. Many people think that is the way the Law of Attraction works, especially after watching ‘The Secret’, but it really isn’t.
There is one more step that is missing, and that step is: ACTION. If you do nothing to accomplish your goal, but thinking and feeling positive, you will not achieve it.
