Impossible is just a state of mind

Everyone, at one point in his of her life, has dreamed of being someone special, successful or meaningful. But somewhere along the way these dreams have been killed by certain experiences or the people around us. After a while most of us started to think ‘ I can’t do this’ or ‘that’s impossible’. But if everyone thought like that there would never have been medical, technological or any other breakthroughs.

How to realize your wildest dreams!

Take a piece of paper, on top you write your goal or dream. Now draw a vertical line in the middle. To reach your goal you have to divide it in smaller steps or goals. Now, on the right of this line write the things that you can’t do right now or things that you have no idea about how to do them or how to achieve them. On the left you write the things you can do right now. Even if it is just one thing that might seem insignificant now, just write it down. Once you start doing something towards achieving your goal you’ll discover new things to add to your list. You don’t need a complete plan of action towards your final goal right now. Beginning to work towards your goal is where most people fail.

After you have completed some simple tasks you may find that some of the tasks on the right side of your paper can be done too. As you grow towards your final goal, the impossible seems to get more and more possible.

It is important that you realize that ambitious goals can’t be achieved in a couple days or weeks. It might take months or sometimes even years. The bigger your dream, the longer it will take to achieve it.

Some people have the most crazy and outrageous dreams but they never take action to realize these dreams. If you don’t take action your dream will eventually turn into a daydream and it will never be more than that! If you try to dream your way towards a goal, you will end up disappointed. No one has ever achieved greatness without working his ass off!

If 100 years ago you would have said that man would walk on the moon or that there would be an invisible web connection everyone on the world, people would have said that you are crazy. But it’s thanks to the people who dared to think like that, that we have been on the moon on and are able to communicate through is invisible worldwide web.

Thomas Edison once said:
‘Genius is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration. For one to do their dreams, there must be had work and discipline. But take note that that 1% needs to be a think-big dream, and not some simply accomplished one. Ask any gym rat and she’ll tell you that there may be no gains unless you are put out of your comfort sector. Remember the chestnut, “No discomfort, no gain”? That is as true as it can be. As you step up the ladder of progress, you may just about find out that the impossible has just become a touch more possible.

The bumblebee can’t fly. At least that’s what scientist say. It’s wings are just to small in comparison to it’s body. But still you see bumblebees all over the world flying around. I guess nobody told them they couldn’t fly …

Take action today towards your goals, no matter how insignificant it may seem. Doing something is better than doing nothing. Get out of that comfortzone and you’ll see that the impossible starts to look more and more possible!
